Our Mission

To diligently support our clients in their
growth to wholeness, wellness and
wisdom for living.

All information disclosed in sessions and
the written records relating to you, are

Our Values

Wisdom, Integrity, Spirit-filled, Excellence.

OUR AIM is to provide you with the highest quality of service and to exceed your expectations. We listen with warmth and compassion and create a safe space where you feel seen, heard and understood.

We work mainly with couples and individuals who want to improve their marriages and relationships or who may be enduring relationship pain and want to explore the possibilities of reconciliation, growth and change.

We also work with individual clients concerning their psychological and emotional health related to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger management, addictions, life transitions and decision making.

Your goals are important to us and we know that you, like many others seeking counselling want to make rapid progress. While we would always want to help you do that, it is important to remember that your progress will depend on the work you put in.

Our role is to walk alongside and support you as you make the necessary changes. Our aim is to help you make deep and lasting changes that will serve you for years to come. Therapy is more likely to be successful if, as therapist and client, we have a mutual understanding, in other words, that we are “on the same page” about what to expect and where we want the process and where we want it to take us.

Sessions are usually one hour long for individuals and one and a half hours long for couples and families. The first session could however last up to one and a half hours for individuals and up to two hours for couples and families. This allows us to become acquainted and to get a good sense of your needs and expectations. Next we formulate a treatment plan which we discuss with you and agree together on the way forward.

Noeline Husbands

M.A., B.A., C.P.C. Counselling Psychologist

I’ve been a Counselling Psychologist in private practice since 2009, the year I started WISE Counsellor Associates. But I’ve been a practising counsellor for many years before that, first as a church counsellor, then as a voluntary counsellor in the Non-profit sector. I worked, as well, on the Counselling Team of a major provider of psychological services in Trinidad and Tobago, and as Programme Coordinator of one of the programmes of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
